Bluebird Farm is a family-run breeder and trainer in southern Alberta’s foothills.

We take pride in giving your family the very best traits and temperaments for breeding, harness and saddle. Our Welsh and Welsh/cross ponies are bred and raised to be athletic, correct, sensible and trusting. Our Thoroughbred mares are proven children’s hunter jumpers. All are enjoyed and admired by children and adults alike.

Shaped by knowledge and passion, our pony breeding program is founded on quality imported bloodlines: our herd sire, Mynach Mystical, is the 2002 Royal Welsh Weanling Colt Champion. Mynach Mystical is a fine stallion with a gorgeous floating movement and an equaling enthralling personality. We look forward to many years of breeding with him, and thank Miss Gethin, Tom Best and David Blair for the opportunity to bring him to our farm and to our customers. Our pony broodmares also have impressive bloodlines: Waxwing, Cennen, Downland, Stockham and Rhosan.
